I guess it became one of the most colorful travel posts I ever created. No surprise as Istanbul is clearly a city that unified so many religions and cultures over the centuries. Wherever you turn, every street, every brick tells a story from the past. History is everywhere. And it lives in perfect harmony with the new century’s vibes as Istanbul is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. The Cihangir district is the perfect example where at the corner of each street, at the basement of the historic buildings a new café / bar / art gallery / design store is opening its doors. Passing by you almost feel like in the streets of Soho but at the meeting point of Europe and Asia.
I was in Istanbul back in November for the 20th International Partner Meeting of ECOVIS. Every year we have two meetings, one is regional one for the European partners and the other one is for all of our partners around the globe. Although we had conferences non-stop I found the opportunity to sneak out for a couple of hours to at least take a few shots of this beautiful, vibrant city. Enjoy!
