A lot of you might have visited Venice during the boiling summer days when tourists from all over the world are roaming the canals of this magical city. But I have to admit that it’s also very charming – if not more charming – during the winter months. Only a few gondolas are gliding nonchalantly through the water, the shutters are closed on Canal Grande, the palazzos are empty for the winter months, only a few tourists are wandering on St. Mark’s Square. It feels like the time has really stopped in Venice and you have to chance to explore it with your camera in your hand.
